Creating a New Invitation

 

There are two ways to create an invitation for your event. The first method is via the Invitations section, and the second method is via the Events list section.

 

INVITATION SECTION

  1. To create a new invitation, select "Invitations" under the events section.





  2. Then click on the "Create New Invitation" button.





  3. From the drop down menu, select an event.





  4. On the invitation information section, enter the invitation name you wish to use.



    NOTE: You can choose whether you want to create a test or a live invitation by clicking one of the buttons on top of the invitation information section.

    By default this page will display a live invitation settings where you can only send your invitation once to your invitees. 

    While if you want to send invitations as tests you can select Test Invitation button, where you can send test invitation emails multiple times


    Reminders:

    • The test invitation option is only used for sending test emails.
    • Use the live invitation option if you are sending the final version of your invites to your mailing list.
    • If you have not finalized your invitations, make sure you are using a test invitation and a test email group.


  5. Then select a status from the invitation status dropdown menu.


    NOTE: Note that users will only be able to send the invitations if the draft status is selected.


  6. On the invitation email section, select an email template from the dropdown menu.





  7. Then select which mailing list you wish to send the invitation to. You can select multiple groups by pressing the control key.



  8. Once you are done, click on the "Save Changes" button at the top of the page, to generate an email event invitation record.





EVENTS SECTION

  1. On the events section, click “Events list”.





  2. On the next page, Click on the “Invitations” button of the event you wish to use.




  3. Then click on the “Create New Invitation” button.




  4. In the invitation information section, enter the invitation name you wish to use.




  5. Then choose a status.




  6. On the invitation email section, select an email template from the dropdown menu.




  7. Then select which mailing list you wish to send the invitation to. You can select multiple groups by pressing the control key.




  8. Once you are done, click on the "Save Changes" button at the top of the page.


 


If you would like to view your invitation after saving, click on the "Preview Live Email" button.
